They sell this new energy drink at the library called Monster (?). The blue one... it tastes like cotton candy came in tingly soda form.

It's strangely crowded in here tonight, given the day of the week. Of course, the snow probably has something to do with that. I can't tell you how many times someone's asked me if I'm 'sick of winter yet'... usually by the odd-looking older people that I can tell aren't students. Or, aren't typical students, anyway. I don't mind: they always have the most interesting stories.
One gentleman was wearing a civil war general's jacket, and told me he'd pray for my cat.
I don't have a cat, but he did make the hour go by quickly.
My paper is about seventy percent done. I was surprised on how many people who grew up around here had no idea that a good chunk of lake-front property (which I'm sure sells for obscene amounts of money) used to be several square miles of slaughter-houses. They don't seem to find that as interesting as I do, though.
At this rate, I should be done by next weekend. The parade is coming soon! Eva's thrilled (for different reasons than me, of course). We plan on getting there early for prime seating. Nothing like camping in downtown Chicago.
